My earliest art training was in painting and blending colors and to
this day I express myself in woven rugs whenever I am inspired by a
color combination or drawn to some aspect of a geometric pattern. I
see it, feel it and have to weave it. And that is why, when you see
my showroom/gallery, you will be greeted by an eclectic mix of
colors and shapes. Not unlike a painter who is inspired by color,
pattern, and light. The range is wide and the effect is quite amazing.
Rugs of all sizes and colors - from small sizes for bath mats or table
runners to room size. For the floor or the wall. Designs range from
simple, old-fashioned striated to checks, plaids, stripes. Rugs with
stars, hearts, leaves, beads, flowers, geometric shapes like triangles,
diamonds, angled squares, and on. Colors from soft breezy blues,
fresh fern greens, folk art inspired primaries, Mexican inspired hot
shades, milk paint colors blended to a warm patina, lichen, earth
and metal tones, and of course every flower from my garden!
Plus there are many portfolios here for you to see more ideas for
design and color for your custom order. Bring your swatches of
upholstery fabric, paint, wallpaper, flooring, even your favorite
rocks for me to match.

Old Point Comfort Gallery is located 6 miles south of Rt 1 in
Waldoboro, Maine between the historic village center of Waldoboro
and the charming fishing village of Friendship. One hour and fifteen
minutes from the center of Portland, one hour from Augusta, and 3

miles south, towards Friendship. Watch for the Old Point Comfort
sign, and turn left immediately after the sign and before the big
barn. First house on left.
From the north: Travel south on Rt 1 to Moody's Diner, then turn
left on to Rt 220. Follow the directions above.
From the west: Take Rt 220 out of Augusta and stay on it until
you get here.

In addition, guests will have an opportunity to try the small tapestry looms that I will be using in the Portable Tapestry Loom Class which starts on August 10 (details follow).
